Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers reportedly want the Osijek defender.
According to The Daily Express, Rangers are plotting to sign Osijek left-back Borna Barisic.
Rangers dumped Barisic and his Croatian team-mates out of the Europa League this week after a 2-1 win over both legs in a second-round qualifier.
But it looks like Gers boss Steven Gerrard might have been impressed with what he saw.
The Daily Express reckons that Gerrard is now lining up a £2 million bid after seeing the 25-year-old – who has three caps for Croatia – up close over the past 10 days.
Gerrard has signed 10 new players this summer but the legendary midfielder claimed earlier this week that he was not finished spending.
The 38-year-old has already signed one Croatian player this summer after spending another £2 million Nikola Katic.
Early days but the big centre-back is already looking like something of a steal and it will be interesting to see if Gerrard pulls off another coup for Barisic.
