The 26-year-old has been linked with a move away from Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers this winter.
The Bristol Post have reported that Rangers are looking for something in the region of £400,000 for out-of-form striker Martyn Waghorn.
The 26-year-old has really struggled to make the step up in class to the Scottish Premiership this season, having netted 28 times in all competitions – 20 in the Championship – last term.
The former Wigan Athletic hitman has netted only once in nine Premiership appearances so far and has lost his place in the first XI to Joe Garner in recent weeks.
The Bristol Post claimed that Bristol City boss Lee Johnson is interested in signing the English forward in January, and the same outlet has reported that Rangers want £400k for his signature.
Gers manager Mark Warburton signed him and James Tavernier for a combined £400k in the summer of 2015 and both played a big role in helping the Ibrox club win promotion last season.
Warburton has proven himself resourceful in the transfer market during his 18-month stint in charge of the Glasgow giants and the 55-year-old will be tempted to sell up and use that figure to reinvest in a better striker.
The former Brentford boss already has Joe Garner, Kenny Miller and Joe Dodoo as central options, but he will need another one.
