Glasgow Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha hopes to bring the striker, who he has previously worked with, to Ibrox.
Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha is targeting one of his former strikers
A report in the Daily Record has suggested that Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha is keen to be reunited with Mexico international Eduardo Herrera at Ibrox this summer.
Caixinha is seemingly starting to get the ball rolling when it comes to the overhaul of his squad over the coming months, and a move for Herrera – who he worked with during his time as Santos Laguna boss – is something that he is keen on.

The Record reports that it could be an ambitious move for the Gers to pull off with the 28-year-old striker set to command a seven-figure fee from Pumas.
A look at his statistics may leave supporters somewhat uninspired about the prospect of Caixinha bringing him to Rangers during the coming months, especially if a move to Ibrox is likely to take a considerable bite out of their transfer budget.

Herrera – who has spent much of the past season on loan with fellow Mexican side Veracruz – scored three times in 13 league games during the loan.
However, the forward – who has nine caps for his country, scoring three times along the way – has enjoyed some fairly prolific spells during his career, and Caixinha may be hoping that he can help the striker rediscover his very best form if he is able to bring him this summer.
