Carlos Pena’s transfer to Rangers is edging closer to completion, the Daily Record reports.
It was reported over the weekend that talks were underway between Rangers and CD Guadalajara, Pena’s parent club.

And it is now being claimed the midfielder will fly to Glasgow for talks with Pedro Caixinha’s side, after an agreement was reached with loan club Leon to release him.
According to the Daily Record, Rangers will offer a three-year deal to Pena, who wants to further his career in the United Kingdom.

Pena has never before played outside of Mexico, the country for which he has won 19 international caps.
The 27-year-old could be one of several new recruits at Ibrox this week, with Portugal defender Bruno Alves and Aberdeen captain Ryan Jack strongly tipped to arrive.

Caixinha, who was appointed Rangers manager in March, knows Pena from his time in charge of Mexican side Santos Laguna.
