Rangers will offer Ibrox striker Ryan Hardie a new contract, according to The Daily Record.
It has been reported that Hardie will sign an extension to his current deal this week.
The report has also claimed that talks regarding a move back to Livingston on loan continue.
Hardie joined Livingston on a season-long loan deal from Rangers in the summer of 2018, but the 21-year-old striker was with Steven Gerrard’s side during their trip to Tenerife for training.
The Daily Record has claimed that Rangers manager Gerrard believes that the Scotland Under-21 international has a top-team future at Ibrox.

Back to Livingston
While it makes sense for Rangers to hand Hardie a new contract, for the development and progress of the striker, he should go back to Livingston on loan for the rest of the season.
The youngster returned from a long-term injury only in December, and he needs regular playing time in order to develop.
With the signing of Jermain Defoe on loan from Bournemouth in the January transfer window, Rangers do not need Hardie for now.
