Report: Rangers to consider bids for Wes Foderingham and Josh Windass

Glasgow Rangers are reportedly willing to consider allowing Josh Windass and Wes Foderingham to leave Ibrox during the coming window.

According to a report from The Scottish Sun, Rangers could be willing to listen to offers for four first-team players, including goalkeeper Wes Foderingham and top goalscorer for the season Josh Windass.

The Gers are seemingly bracing themselves for a significant summer overhaul as they prepare for Steven Gerrard’s arrival at Ibrox. Scott Arfield has already joined the club, and the Light Blues fans will be hoping that he is followed by a number of other signings before too long after the club registered a third place finish in the Scottish Premiership.

Of course, that is likely to mean a number of players could be allowed to move on during the coming months, and it appears that several current first-team players could be free to go if Rangers receive the right bids.

The Scottish Sun reports that offers will be considered for Foderingham and Windass, while James Tavernier and Alfredo Morelos will also be available for the right price.

While there has been criticism of all of the quartet since they arrived at Rangers, it is arguably a gamble for the club to make the four players available given that they have all impressed at various points and formed a significant part of the spine of the side this past season.

Windass and Morelos both finished this season with 18 goals in all competitions, while Tavernier has captained the side for much of the second-half of the season and Foderingham had been the undisputed number one until injury brought an early end to the campaign. All four players made over 30 league appearances this term.

It is a roll of the dice, but perhaps the likes of Steven Gerrard and Mark Allen believe that moving some of their key first-team players on may be the best way for the Light Blues to close the gap to their rivals.
