Rangers are expected to complete the signing of Manchester City defender Kean Bryan later today [Thursday], according to the Scottish Sun.

The newspaper reports Bryan has been persuaded to move to Ibrox by Rangers manager Steven Gerrard.

And it is claimed the 21-year-old will sign a three-year deal worth £2.5 million in wages and a signing-on fee, although the Scottish Sun fails to state the amount Manchester City are due to receive from Rangers.

Bryan played alongside Gerrard’s cousin Anthony while on loan to Oldham Athletic last season, and is described by a Scottish Sun source as being a ‘huge admirer’ of the new Rangers manager.

Should the move go ahead, the City academy product will become signing number 11 of the Gerrard era at Ibrox.

However, he will not be eligible to feature in the Gers’ Europa League second qualifying round tie against NK Osijek later this evening.
