Glasgow Rangers are closing in on a deal to bring Bruno Alves to Ibrox that is set to be completed by the end of the week, according to reports.
Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha is closing in on a couple of deals
A report from the Evening Times has suggested that Rangers are closing in on their first signing of the summer as they expect to complete a deal for Bruno Alves before the end of the week.
The Evening Times reports that Alves is set to become Pedro Caixinha’s first signing since he arrived at Ibrox towards the end of last season with a move from Serie A club Cagliari set to be finalised before the 35-year-old links up with the Portuguese national team for this summer’s Confederations Cup.

In a further boost for the Ibrox faithful, the Evening Times adds that Ryan Jack’s switch from Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen is all but complete, so it may not be a surprise to see the midfielder arrive shortly after Alves’ move is confirmed.
The news that Alves’ arrival is imminent and Jack’s is similarly close to being confirmed will surely provide Rangers supporters with plenty to be positive about heading into the coming months.

The speed with which these deals look set to be done suggests that Caixinha has landed two of his most important targets for the summer.
And that may perhaps have a positive impact as they look to land more of their key targets as those players will see how proactive the club have been in the market and will surely be much more positive about the Gers’ chances of enjoying a much more successful season next term.
