According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers have told Kai Kennedy that he can find a new club this summer having failed to agree a new deal.
Kennedy has just one year left on his deal at Ibrox, and Rangers have been in talks over a deal for the teenager since the end of 2019.
However, Kennedy’s demands are believed to be far beyond what Rangers are willing to pay, and he has now been told he can go.
Kennedy was even pulled from first-team training and sent back to train with the Rangers academy again last week, all pointing towards his exit.
Steven Gerrard has praised Kennedy in the past, telling the Daily Record in November 2019 that he thinks the winger is a ‘fabulous little player’.
Gerrard even handed Kennedy his first-team debut earlier this year, using him in the Scottish Cup win over Stranraer.

Now, Rangers look set to lose Kennedy, and big clubs are already keen; the Daily Record claim that Bayern Munich and Manchester City are on high alert.
There may still be time for Rangers to turn this situation around, but it looks like Kennedy could be heading to a huge club this summer – and that would make this story all the more difficult for fans to swallow.
