Glasgow Rangers could be closing in on landing their next manager.
Pedro Caixinha
A report in the Daily Record has suggested that Pedro Caixinha is ready to pay a six-figure sum to get out of his contract with his current club so he can take over at Rangers.
According to the Record, Caixinha is working to secure his release from Al-Gharafa and may need to pay up to £300,000 to free him up to move to Ibrox.
However, the Record adds that the Portuguese is willing to pay such a sum out of his own pocket to ensure that he lands the role with the Scottish Premiership side.
It appears that the end of the search for Mark Warburton’s successor may well be in sight as the 46-year-old is set to arrive in Glasgow for talks by Wednesday and wants to be in charge for the upcoming Old Firm game with Celtic next weekend, according to the Record.

The news regarding how determined Caixinha reportedly is to secure the Gers hot-seat will surely please the Ibrox faithful as it will arguably dispel the notion that he could view Rangers as a stepping stone on his way to landing another job in Europe.
The substantial sum that may be required to make a deal happen would certainly suggest that he has long-term ambitions for what he wants to achieve if given the Rangers job, and a manager with a long-term vision is arguably exactly what they will need if they hope to bridge the gap to Celtic at the top.
