According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers talent Cole McKinnon is wanted by Everton and Aston Villa ahead of the summer window.
It’s claimed that McKinnon has caught the attention of several clubs in England, but it’s Everton who are most likely to make a bid.
McKinnon has just one year left on his Rangers deal, leaving the Gers somewhat vulnerable to losing him this summer.
The 17-year-old has already played for the Rangers reserves, and looks to be highly-rated at Ibrox having progressed under Graeme Murty.
Primarily a central midfielder, McKinnon has played in the UEFA Youth League and the Challenge Cup this season, adding to his development.
Some Rangers fans have been frustrated with the lack of playing time for top youngsters like Kai Kennedy, Nathan Patterson, Lewis Mayo, Josh McPake and Dapo Mebude.

If Rangers can’t provide McKinnon with a pathway to first-team football when they discuss a new contract, a move to Everton may become appealing.
The Toffees have seen youngsters Jarrad Branthwaite and Anthony Gordon play under Carlo Ancelotti, so they could sell a promising plan to McKinnon if they do make a move.
