Turkish outlet En Sen Haber claim that Rangers have tabled an offer to lure goalkeeper Berke Ozer to Ibrox on a free transfer. The youngster will see his contract with Fenerbahce expire at the end of the month.
Ozer, 22, joined Fenerbahce back in the summer of 2018 as a teenager – but failed to play a single game in his first season. He moved to Belgium with Westerlo on loan for two years, gaining plenty of experience.

Last summer he returned to Fener, and supplied cover to Turkey’s no.1 Ugurcan Cakir – who also captains the SuperLig side. He played 19 times in all competitions, including three times in the Europa League.
But he has not done enough to earn a new deal and now, Rangers are keen. Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s Europa League finalists have tabled a bid to sign him on a free – but Benfica and Anderlecht are also showing interest.
Rangers offer tabled to lure Ozer to Ibrox
Given he is available on a free transfer and Rangers are desperately in need of a new goalkeeper – Ozer is a very good signing. A player with enormous potential, and he is just getting started.
He was excellent in Belgium, keeping 14 clean sheets in 46 games for a side that were often just trying to survive in the Jupiler League. Fener have endured a tough season, but Ozer will have been happy to play 19 times.
Once called up to Turkey’s national side as a teenager in 2017, Ozer has every chance to go on and become a superstar. Rangers might just be his ideal move in the coming weeks.
