According to the Daily Mail, Rangers remain keen on signing Hearts winger Jamie Walker – despite signing Dalcio and setting up a deal for Benfica’s Daniel Candeias.

The Gers have moved quickly to kickstart their summer overhaul, with defenders Bruno Alves and Fabio Cardoso arriving at Ibrox alongside midfielder Ryan Jack and winger Dalcio.

With Mexican international duo Carlos Pena and Eduardo Herrera set to join pending work permits, manager Pedro Caixinha will have two more faces in the squad, and the Daily Mail note that Benfica winger Daniel Candeias as well as HJK Helsinki attacker Alfredo Morelos are also set to join.

Caixinha may want even more new faces after that though, and the Daily Mail report that he is still keen on a deal for Hearts winger Jamie Walker this summer.

Walker, 23, has come up through the ranks with Hearts having first joined the club back in 2003, with the Edinbugh-born wide man becoming a key player at Tynecastle.

The former Scotland Under-21 international hit 12 goals and two assists this past season and is considered as one of the brightest young players in Scottish football – but he could be on his way out of Hearts this summer.

Walker has told the club that he wants to leave, and Caixinha is allegedly pursuing a deal to bring him to Ibrox in a move that would bring creativity and goals to the Rangers attack.

It would be something of a surprise to see Caixinha sign Walker when he has already brought in Dalcio, and Candeias is on the way too, though a move for Walker could suggest that Michael O’Halloran, Martyn Waghorn and even Barrie McKay could be heading out to make way for Walker.
