Rangers are reportedly looking to bring defender Jack Simpson to Ibrox.

According to the Daily Record, Rangers remain keen on Bournemouth defender Jack Simpson as Steven Gerrard chases the signing of another centre back.
The Gers picked up yet another win under new boss Gerrard this afternoon, as a hat-trick from Alfredo Morelos helped Rangers to a 3-1 win at Kilmarnock in the Betfred Cup.
Rangers are thriving under Gerrard, who has so far brought in 11 new signings this summer, but is still in the market for two more additions in the coming days.
Another striker is wanted in Hearts ace Kyle Lafferty, but another defender – even after signing Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic – is a top target.
Millwall’s Jake Cooper proved to be unattainable, Bolton stood firm on Mark Beevers, and the club’s interest in Bournemouth’s Jack Simpson appeared to be over when Eddie Howe told the Daily Echo last week that a deal was unlikely.
Howe noted that Bournemouth’s thin squad meant that young centre back Simpson couldn’t be let go, but the Daily Record report that Rangers are still pursuing his signature this summer.

Simpson, 21, has made just three first-team appearances for Bournemouth, and is viewed as cover for the likes of Steve Cook and Nathan Ake, with Howe not having a host of options at his disposal.
Bournemouth can’t even add new signings with the English transfer window over, but Rangers are seemingly still hoping to take Simpson to Ibrox, potentially giving Gerrard the left-footed centre back he wants.
