Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has been linked with a move away from Ibrox.
According to The Scottish Herald, Rangers have slapped a £10million asking price on striker Alfredo Morelos amid links with Championship clubs.
The Gers swooped to land Morelos from Finnish side HJK Helsinki last summer, having racked up 46 goals in 62 games for HJK in a stunning spell.
Colombian hitman Morelos has been a sensation for Rangers, and has hit 12 goals in 25 games for the Gers this season, becoming an immediate fan favourite at Ibrox.
Morelos’ goalscoring form has unsurprisingly attracted interest, with The Scottish Herald noting that Championship clubs in England are keen to lure Morelos south of the border.
However, it’s also claimed that Morelos – who was signed for just £1million by former manager Pedro Caixinha last summer – is being valued at £10million by Rangers, and they will refuse to sell for anything short of their asking price.
At just 21, Morelos has huge potential to get even better for Rangers, and that alleged asking price factors in not only that Morelos is the top scorer in the Scottish Premiership, but also that he has a bright future.
Championship clubs may be reluctant to splash such a huge fee on Morelos, whose goalscoring has come in Finland and Scotland, but Rangers are well within their rights to hold out for a huge price and a tidy profit for their star striker.
