Rangers are reigniting their interest in signing Huddersfield Town midfielder Juninho Bacuna before the transfer deadline.
That’s according to The Scottish Sun, who claim that Bacuna has emerged as a late target ahead of the transfer window shutting later this month.
Rangers are thought to be long-time admirers of Bacuna and have been tracking him for a year now in the belief that he could make a real impact at Ibrox.
Bacuna only has a year left on his Huddersfield contract, and Rangers are ‘seriously considering’ a bid for him having compiled impressive scouting reports.
Bacuna, 24, has 10 caps for Curacao and has impressed with Huddersfield since signing from Groningen in the summer of 2018.
Last term, the midfielder notched five goals and four assists in 43 Championship outings, playing mostly as a central midfielder.

Bacuna did though show his versatility, turning out as an attacking midfielder, winger, striker and even a right back last season.
Maybe Steven Gerrard and co think they can utilise that versatility to great effect, and feel they can get a bargain with Bacuna available for free next summer.
Right now, Bacuna is exiled from the Huddersfield side and won’t play with his future up in the air.
There isn’t long left to do a deal now, but with Rangers’ midfield looking a little stale to start the season, Bacuna could be seen as a player to help.
