Rangers are reportedly still keen on luring Curtis Nelson to Ibrox this summer.

According to The Express, Rangers are still interested in signing Plymouth Argyle defender Curtis Nelson despite their pursuit of free agent Adrian Mariappa.
The Gers added one defender Clint Hill on a free transfer on Friday, with the former Premier League defender arriving to add some much-needed experience to the Rangers back line.

Rangers are now in talks to sign former Crystal Palace defender Adrian Mariappa, with the 29-year-old Jamaican international becoming Warburton’s new top target to strengthen his back line.
However, The Express report that Rangers are still keen on Plymouth Argyle centre back Curtis Nelson, despite their interest in luring Mariappa to Glasgow.

Nelson, 23, is out of contract at Plymouth after helping the club reach the League Two play-offs, and is expected to leave the Pilgrims this summer.
A former Stoke youngster, Nelson has now racked up almost 250 appearances for Plymouth despite only turning 23 back in May.

With Rangers searching for more defensive reinforcements, Nelson is still believed to be in the frame, and he would represent a promising signing with huge potential for the future.
However, with Rangers aggressively targeting Mariappa, Nelson may only be a backup target for Rangers, and it will be interesting to see whether they end up with Mariappa or Nelson this summer.
