According to Il Resto Del Carlino, Rangers are interested in signing Bologna forward Andreas Skov Olsen, who was a target for Steven Gerrard in 2020.
What’s the story?
Well, the Italian news outlet believe Giovanni van Bronckhorst is keen to bring the 21-year-old to Ibrox, and contact has been made.
Much was expected of Olsen when he arrived in Serie A, but Il Resto Del Carlino claim his poor display against Torino could be the last straw.
Il Resto Del Carlino add that Bologna are now ready to listen to offers for the 15-cap Denmark international, with Real Sociedad and Besiktas also keen.
Interestingly, Il Resto Del Carlino‘s news comes after Rangers were also linked with a move for Olsen in 2020.
Back then, it was Corriere di Bologna who claimed that the Gers were interested when Bologna were considering a loan exit for the forward.
Now, despite a change of management at Ibrox, the Bears are still keen.
What can Andreas Skov Olsen bring to Rangers?

In our view, Olsen is a huge prospect just waiting to explode, and he needs to find the right environment to do that.
Using Ryan Kent as an example, we feel Ibrox would be the ideal place for him to knuckle down and fulfil that potential.
Intriguingly, Mauricio Pochettino – now in charge of Paris Saint-Germain – was monitoring Olsen during his time as Tottenham manager (Daily Mail).

The Argentine has a fantastic eye for a player, and helped coach the likes of Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana and Dele Alli to stardom.
In that respect, Pochettino must’ve seen lots of potential in Olsen.
The Hillerød-born attacker has struggled this season with just one assist in 14 Serie A appearances, but he still has plenty of time to improve aged just 21.
Keep an eye on this saga, as Bologna seem happy to offload their No.11.
