Rangers are hoping a new approach to the Ryan Kent saga will see him arrive at Ibrox.

With Jurgen Klopp remaining stubborn regarding the player not leaving on a temporary loan, the paper say that Rangers will look to structure a loan deal that could see the player arrive at Ibrox permanently next summer.
Said to be rated at around £7m by the Reds, it would be quite the coup if the Gers could convince the UEFA Champions League to part with their prospect, even if he looks further away from the first-team than ever.
A source close to the potential deal told The Daily Record: “When the English window closed without Ryan moving on, Rangers realised they may still have a chance of doing a deal but that they would have to creative in order to make it happen.
“Klopp has ruled out another straightforward loan but Rangers hope the additional clause, which would turn it into a permanent move at a future date, might help swing the deal in their favour.”
Is a Kent deal likely?
Whether that will be enough to get the transfer over the line remains to be seen, but the paper are also insistent that the player is desperate for the move, which could aid things from Rangers’ perspective.
So far this season Steven Gerrard’s side have not looked like they’ve missed Kent one bit, so they’ll have to add up the financial realities of the situation with what the first-team could do with.

Kent was undoubtedly a stand-out last term but his direct goal contribution was hardly stellar, scoring six and assisting nine in 43 matches.
With players like Alfredo Morelos, Jermain Defoe and Sheyi Ojo banging in the goals this term, should Gerrard perhaps put his focus on more pressing areas of the team such as at left-back?
With Kent valued at £7m, it’s a question worth serious consideration. The player may well not be the right way to spend their limited resources.
