Rangers defender, Kyle Bradley, has joined Clyde on loan.
Glasgow Rangers defender, Kyle Bradley, has joined Clyde FC on loan till January, the club has confirmed.
Bradley, who is currently part of the Light Blues’ under-20s squad, made his first team appearance for the Ibrox outfit last season.
The 18-year-old made his debut as a substitute in a Scottish Premiership match against St Johnstone in May, replacing Martyn Waghorn.
He signed a new contract in March 2016 which will tie him at the club till 2018.
New Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha during the press conference
Bradley took part in Saturday’s friendly against Albion Rovers at Cliftonhill, where he was listed as a trialist.
“Kyle is a young lad who can play in central defence or at full back. He’s got a lot of promise and he can gain match experience with us now,” Clyde manager Jim Chapman said, while speaking to the official website.
“We’re grateful to Rangers for allowing us to have this link with them and it should be beneficial for both parties. It’s an opportunity for Kyle to develop in a first team environment, but Rangers also acknowledge Clyde’s need in terms of a player being ready to enter that environment.”
After a disappointing 2016/17 campaign, Rangers will be looking to mount a serious title challenge this term.
The Gers have undergone a massive rebuilding, with Caixinha, the Rangers manager, bringing in as many as nine new faces already. And there could be one or two more arrivals before the window closes.
Bradley is a talented young defender but at this stage of his career he needs proper development and game time, something Caixinha cannot offer him at the moment.
