According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers are poised to tie up the loan signing of Manchester City’s Aaron Nemane, in time for him to potentially make his debut against Ross County this weekend.

The Gers have been busy in the transfer market this summer, landing nine signings as Pedro Caixinha has brought Bruno Alves, Fabio Cardoso, Ryan Jack, Carlos Pena, Graham Dorrans, Dalcio, Daniel Candeias, Eduardo Herrera and Alfredo Morelos to Ibrox.

However, with some patchy displays – which have exhibited some poor attacking play – Rangers are dipping back into the transfer market for a new winger.

Having failed to land Hearts star Jamie Walker this summer, Rangers are turning their attention to a loan deal, with The Scottish Sun reporting that a deal for Manchester City’s Aaron Nemane is on the verge of completion.

The Gers appointed City’s former academy chief Mark Allen as their new Director of Football earlier this summer, and this deal appears to be the first move made by Allen, as he calls in a favour from his former club to land Nemane.

Nemane, 19, has been coming up through the ranks at City under the watchful eye of Allen, and the Premier League giants have now decided that it’s time for him to go out and play first-team football elsewhere.

A speedy winger who can play on either flank, Nemane has real potential and could provide a much-needed spark in the final third for Rangers before presumably returning to City next summer.

The addition of another young winger with pace may though bring Dalcio’s role into question, giving that the Benfica loanee has done little to impress so far.

With a deal for Nemane expected to be completed imminently, he could be handed his debut against Ross County this summer, and it remains to be seen whether Allen lands other City youngsters to aid Caixinha.
