Rangers youngster Ross McCrorie is set to leave Ibrox imminently, according to The Daily Record.
McCrorie, who can operate as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder, will reportedly leave Steven Gerrard’s Rangers and join Aberdeen on a loan deal today.
Aberdeen have agreed a loan deal with Rangers with a set six-figure fee to sign the 22-year-old on a permanent contract next summer, with Hibernian having had two offers for the youngster turned down by the Gers, according to the report.
McCrorie will undergo a medical at Aberdeen this morning and will leave Rangers imminently, according to the report.
Good move for Ross McCrorie?
Aberdeen are an ambitious club, and McCrorie will make the team stronger and will give manager Derek McInnes a valuable option in his squad, with the youngster also able to play as a right-back, having featured in that position during his loan spell at Portsmouth in England last season.
McCrorie is likely to get more chances at Aberdeen, and a loan deal is a win-win situation for the player, the Dons and Rangers, who are aiming to win the Scottish Premieship title this season.
