Rangers youngster Ross McCrorie is keen on leaving Ibrox and joining Hibernian, according to The Scottish Sun.

Hibernian have made an improved offer for Rangers player McCrorie, who can operate as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder, according to the report.

Rangers chiefs are considering accepting the new bid from Scottish Premiership rivals Hibernian, with the 22-year-old – who can also play as a right-back – himself keen on making the switch to Hibs on a permanent basis, it has been claimed.

Leaving Rangers

McCrorie has come through the Rangers academy, but the Scottish youngster has failed to establish himself as a key player in the first team.

While there is no doubt that the 22-year-old is hugely talented and has a lot of potential, he is simply not getting chances under manager Steven Gerrard.

Having played regularly for Portsmouth during his loan spell in 2019-20, the youngster is unlikely to be happy being a fringe player at Rangers this season, and it would make sense for him to move to Hibernian and find a new permanent home.
