According to the Daily Record, Rangers are now likely to push through a deal for Colombian striker Juan Alegria.
It’s claimed that Rangers don’t expect to be very active in this month’s window, with key players set to stay and no huge desire to add anybody else.
If Rangers are to bring in reinforcements this month, it’s suggested that Rangers would be looking for long-term additions.
Alegria is one such player, and Rangers are now considered likely to get him snapped up during this month’s transfer window.
The Record claimed last month that Rangers had concerns about the Colombian’s work permit chances given that he isn’t a full international yet.
It now seems that Rangers think they can still get a deal done, though whether he would have to be loaned out remains to be seen.

The 18-year-old is currently with FC Honka in Finland, meaning he could take a similar path to Alfredo Morelos in heading from Colombia to Finland and then to Rangers.
Alegria has scored four goals in four third-tier games this season, seemingly catching Rangers’ eye in the process – and he could soon join Morelos at Ibrox.
