Spanish newspaper SPORT claim Rangers, Newcastle and Tottenham could all raid Real Madrid for Gareth Bale this summer. The Wales star is out of contract in the summer and Carlo Ancelotti has stated he will be going.

Bale, 31, has often been cast as a villain by Real Madrid fans despite his incredible stats – including goals in Champions League finals. He scored a stunning brace to beat Liverpool in the 2018 final, and one in the 2014 final.

A two-time La Liga winner, a four-time Champions League winner – Bale has scored 106 goals in 258 games, as well as 67 assists. Out of contract at the end of the season, Bale has given no clue where his future lies.

There have even been suggestions of retirement – but SPORT report that Bale could end up at Newcastle, Tottenham or Rangers this summer. Milan or an MLS side have also been suggested as possible landing spots for Bale.

Rangers, Newcastle, Tottenham – where could Madrid star Bale go?

Turning 33 in July, Bale is certainly coming to the end of his career but with the possibility of qualification for the World Cup a possibility at the end of the year, Bale will want to join a team where he is first choice, playing lots.

So, a move to Newcastle would certainly give him that. The Toon need a winger, and might even need to replace Allan Saint-Maximin. Tottenham would see him be a bit-part player, perhaps used in cup competitions.

But at Rangers, although he would have take a huge pay cut, he could end up joining Aaron Ramsey – who may extend his loan. It all depends on Bale, but a move to Ibrox might really appeal to the trophy-hungry star.
