According to the Daily Mail, Norwich City want a fee of £1.5million in order to sell midfielder Graham Dorrans to Rangers – and further talks between the two clubs are expected this week.

The Gers look set to complete a deal for Portuguese centre back Bruno Alves this week (Glasgow Evening Times), and manager Pedro Caixinha will be looking for more reinforcements this summer.

Greater quality is needed in order to catch league champions Celtic, and landing a top midfielder should be a priority as Rangers look to find somebody to dictate the game after their move for Joey Barton last summer quickly became a disaster.

Now, the Daily Mail report that Rangers are in talks to sign Norwich City midfielder Graham Dorrans, but will have to cough up £1.5million in order to secure his signature.

Dorrans, 30, was carved out a successful career for himself in England having joined West Bromwich Albion from Livingston in 2008, though his time with Norwich over the last two years has been a little mixed.

The 12-cap Scotland international played in just half of Norwich’s Championship games this season, and whilst he scored six goals, it seems that the Canaries are now willing to cash in on Dorrans.

It’s claimed that Rangers will have to pay around £1.5million for Dorrans, which would make him one of their most expensive signings of the last five years, and more talks are expected between the two clubs this week as they attempt to strike a deal.

Dorrans grew up supporting Rangers and is understood to be keen on a move back to Scotland this summer, meaning that if the Gers can find the cash for the deal, they should be able to hand Dorrans his dream move to Ibrox – and show a real signal of intent.
