Rangers have been linked to Michael O’Neill, but could he end up at Aberdeen?

Glasgow Rangers’ search for Pedro Caixinha’s successor at Ibrox continues, with the club fast approaching a month since his sacking.
Northern Ireland boss Michael O’Neill has been linked with the role after the past 24 hours after the team failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.

Aberdeen currently have Derek McInnes in charge, but he is the current favourite to end up as Rangers manager, after he previously starred at Ibrox as a player.
SkyBet have McInnes as 1/3 favourite and O’Neill as a 6/1 outsider in their latest set of odds.

It all depends on whether Rangers can convince McInnes to switch clubs, or give up and focus on O’Neill or another candidate.
But one way or another there is a strong chance the Northern Ireland coach’s next job will be in Scotland, where he has a home in Edinburgh.
