The report has also quoted former Rangers man Josh Windass as saying last year that the 18-year-old is “technically the best young player by a mile”.
First-team debut soon?
Kelly has yet to make his debut for the Rangers first team, but the 18-year-old midfielder has been playing well for the Ibrox club’s youth teams.
A tenacious midfielder who can impose himself on a football match and also scores goals, it is only a matter of time before the teenager starts to appear for Gerrard’s team.

Gerrard will know all about the youngster, and perhaps in the coming weeks and months, Kelly will make an appearance for Rangers.
Rangers have some wonderful young footballers, and the future of the Gers certainly looks bright.
Gerrard has shown that he is willing to hand playing time to young players who work hard, and if Kelly continues his progress, then he will certainly get the chance to shine for the Rangers first team.
