According to the Scottish Herald, Rangers have made contact with the representatives of West Ham United winger Grady Diangana.
It’s claimed that Celtic have made initial enquiries over the potential availability of Diangana, in the hope of bringing him to Parkhead.
However, Rangers have now made a move too. They’ve allegedly asked about luring him to Ibrox, in an effort to hijack Celtic’s talks.
Diangana is thought to be open to the idea of playing his football in Glasgow, and Rangers actually came close to signing him last summer before they moved on to other targets.
The priority for Diangana next season is playing time. He wants first-team football, and if West Ham can’t offer him that, then he is willing to leave either on loan or permanently.
Rangers signing him would surely be a loan deal, given that Diangana’s value has rocketed this season off the back of a superb campaign at West Bromwich Albion.

The 22-year-old wide man has racked up seven goals and six assists for West Brom this season, whilst producing dazzling displays with every trick in the book.
Rangers need a right-sided winger, and that’s where Diangana plays. He would bring real flair and creativity to Steven Gerrard’s attack, and would be an exciting addition even if only on loan.
Beating Celtic to his signature would also be some coup for Rangers, and a real statement ahead of a key title race.
