Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has made a bid of £600,000 for George Edmundson, according to The Scottish Sun.

It has been reported that Rangers have increased the offer for the 21-year-old defender and hope that his club, Oldham Athletic in League Two in England, accept it.

The report has also also claimed that the 21-year-old defender fancies a move to Rangers in the summer transfer window.

Third time lucky

The latest reported £600,000 bid from Rangers is the third for Edmundson, as it seems that the Scottish Premiership club are determined to bring him to Ibrox.

According to The Express, Rangers recently had offers of £400,000 and £500,000 for the youngster turned down by Oldham.

Rangers finished second in the Scottish Premiership table this term and will hope to challenge Old Firm rivals Celtic for the league title next season.
