According to The Mirror, Jack Wilshere fancies a move to Major League Soccer despite speculation linking him a move to Rangers.

Wilshere was released by West Ham United on international deadline day, making him a free agent after two disappointing years at the London Stadium.

The 28-year-old wasn’t able to make an impact with his boyhood club as injuries once again wrecked his first-team opportunities, and he is now seeking a new club.

It’s claimed that clubs at home and abroad want to sign Wilshere for free, and he fancies a move to Major League Soccer, though it’s unclear which clubs in America want him.

The Press Association recently reported that Wilshere would be open to holding talks with Rangers, potentially reuniting with his ex-England teammate Steven Gerrard.

Rangers do though have a number of midfielders already, with Ryan Jack, Steven Davis, Glen Kamara, Joe Aribo, Scott Arfield and new signing Bongani Zungu all in contention.

Gerrard may now feel that Wilshere isn’t needed at Ibrox, and the former Arsenal man could now end up following in Gerrard’s footsteps with a move to the States.

Gerrard himself finished his career at Los Angeles Galaxy, and Wilshere could now follow suit with a move across the pond rather than up to Ibrox.
