Glasgow Rangers are interested in bringing young forward Tyler Roberts to Ibrox on loan during the January transfer window.

Roberts is one the brightest prospects coming through at The Hawthorns and has been impressing out on loan with League One side Walsall, scoring five goals and providing three assists in the third tier.

The Sun reports that the Baggies could recall the 18-year-old next month and loan him out elsewhere, and the Gers are considering offering him the chance to spend the second-half of the season at Ibrox.

Roberts has certainly impressed during his time with Walsall, and there is certainly an argument that he would contribute to Graeme Murty’s side’s attacking options if they did manage to get a deal across the line. While Alfredo Morelos has generally impressed, he has arguably got little support from the other forwards at the club when it has come to scoring goals, so Roberts’ creativity may make him a welcome addition.
In the meantime, Rangers will be hoping to bounce back when they face Motherwell on Wednesday after they lost their two games leading into Christmas to fall three points off second place Aberdeen in the top flight.
