Report: Rangers interested in Leeds United’s Kemar Roofe

Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers are interested in signing Kemar Roofe from Leeds United in the summer transfer window, according to The Scottish Sun.

It has been reported that Rangers are looking at Roofe as a potential replacement for Ibrox striker Alfredo Morelos.

Leeds reportedly want £5 million as transfer fee for the 26-year-old striker, who is claimed to earn £10,000 per week as salary.

Roofe, who can also operate as a winger, is an important player for Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds.

The 26-year-old made 28 starts and five substitute appearances in the Championship for Leeds last season, scoring 15 goals and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

During the 2017-18 campaign, Roofe made 27 starts and nine substitute appearances in the league for the Whites, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

Back in 2016-17, the striker made 28 starts and 14 substitute appearances in the Championship for Leeds, scoring three goals and providing seven assists in the process, according to WhoScored.
