Report: Rangers interested in Jonathan Klinsmann

Wes Foderingham and Jak Alnwick will reportedly leave Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers, who are claimed to want Jonathan Klinsmann at Ibrox.

Rangers are interested in bringing goalkeeper Jonathan Klinsmann to Ibrox in the summer transfer window, according to The Scottish Sun.

It has been reported that Steven Gerrard’s side watched Germany legend Jurgen Klinsmann’s son in action during Hertha Berlin’s second-string side’s 2-0 defeat against Lokomotiv Leipzig on Friday night.

The 22-year-old goalkeeper is out of contract at Hertha at the end of the season, and Rangers reportedly want to secure the former USA Under-20 international on a free transfer.

According to The Scottish Sun, Klinsmann is frustrated at his lack of chances in the first team at Hertha.

Wes Foderingham and Jak Alnwick are leaving

According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers manager Gerrard is looking at Klinsmann as a potential back-up to Allan McGregor, who has been the first-choice goalkeeper at Ibrox this season.

The report has claimed that both Wes Foderingham and Jak Alnwick are leaving Rangers this summer.

While Foderingham is the second-choice goalkeeper at the Gers this campaign, Alnwick spent the 2018-19 season on loan at Scunthorpe United.
