Rangers are interested in bringing Fashion Sakala to Ibrox, according to The Daily Record.

It has been reported that Rangers are planning to offer a pre-contract to the KV Oostende star and secure his services for the 2021-22 season and beyond.

The 23-year-old forward is high on the wishlist of Rangers, and ‘fits into the business model of Ibrox director of football Ross Wilson’ as he could have ‘real value’ in the future, according to the report.

Good signing for Rangers?

Sakala is a very versatile attacking player who can operate as a striker and on either flank.

The 23-year-old has earned 13 caps for Zambia and is doing well in the Belgian league.

According to WhoScored, the forward has scored six goals and provided two assists in 16 Jupiler Pro League games so far this season.

Given that the youngster will become a free agent at the end of the season, he could be a smart signing for Rangers and would help make their attacking unit better.

In April 2020, Sports Corna reported interest in the youngster from Premier League duo West Ham United and Newcastle United.

It shows just how highly Sakala is, and it could be a coup for Rangers to snap him up.

Rangers are also interested in Alfie Doughty of Charlton Athletic and have offered the left-sided player a pre-contract, and so have Celtic, according to HeraldScotland.
