Rangers are looking to back Steven Gerrard with new signings at Ibrox.

According to the Daily Mail, Rangers are in talks with investors in order to back Ibrox-bound boss Steven Gerrard in the transfer market this summer.
The Gers have endured another eventful few days, as they were thrashed 5-0 by Old Firm rivals Celtic on Sunday afternoon, and Graeme Murty was relieved of his duties as interim manager on Tuesday.
Rangers are now pressing ahead with their plans to bring in a new permanent manager having sacked Pedro Caixinha back in October, and Steven Gerrard will be holding more talks with the club today.
The 37-year-old Liverpool youth coach is a major gamble for the club given that he has no managerial experience, but he looks set for a move to Ibrox as Dave King looks to back the former England international.

The Daily Mail report that Rangers are in talks with external investors over putting money in to the club ahead of the summer transfer window, in order to give Gerrard the money he needs for new signings.
It’s unclear just who Gerrard will target, but director of football Mark Allen has already set up deals for goalkeeper Allan McGregor and midfielder Scott Arfield, with the duo set to arrive from Hull City and Burnley respectively.
The report claims that King is in talks with parties over a rights issue, and it remains to be seen whether he can secure the investment needed to land who Gerrard wants this summer.
