According to Sky Sports, Rangers are in talks with Norwich City over a deal to sign midfielder Graham Dorrans this summer.

The Gers look set to be one of the busiest teams in the transfer market this summer after finishing in third place in the Scottish Premiership this season, with new manager Pedro Caixinha looking to close the 39-point gap to league winners Celtic.

A host of new signings are needed, particularly with greater quality than the players brought in by Mark Warburton last summer, and Caixinha is pushing for a suitably impressive signing.

Sky Sports report that Rangers are in talks with Norwich City as they look to bring midfielder Graham Dorrans to Ibrox this summer, in a deal that would signal the club’s intent moving forward.

Dorrans, 30, hit six goals in 23 games for Norwich this season, and has carved out a successful career for himself in England ever since joining West Bromwich Albion from Livingston in 2008.

The 12-cap Scotland international has been in and out of the Norwich side this season, and it’s now claimed that he wants a return to Scotland this summer.

Rangers are now positioning themselves at the front of the queue for Dorrans’ signature, with the midfielder being offered a dream move to Ibrox having grown up supporting Rangers.

It’s unclear just how much Dorrans would cost, but after almost ten years in the Premier League or Championship, Rangers would surely be investing a considerable amount in Dorrans, who is the kind of player the Gers need to chase down Celtic.
