It has been reported that Rangers’ director of football Mark Allen has turned his focus on Stewart after giving up on Motherwell winger Jake Hastie.
Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club are reportedly set to agree a deal to sign Stewart on a free transfer window in the summer after holding talks with him over the past 24 hours.
The Daily Record has claimed that Aberdeen have offered the 29-year-old – who can play on the wing or down the middle – a four-year contract, with the former Dundee man set to become a free agent in the summer.
Good signing for Rangers?
Stewart is a good and versatile attacking player who has done well in Scotland, and he would be a decent signing for Rangers on a free transfer.

The attacker scored eight goals in 16 Scottish Premiership appearances for Kilmarnock in the first half of the season and has scored one goal in five league matches for Aberdeen since his loan switch to Aberdeen in January, according to WhoScored.
