Ibrox outfit Glasgow Rangers are reportedly looking at Alex Rae for the assistant manager’s role.

Alex Rae has held talks to become the Rangers assistant manager, according to The Daily Record.
It has been reported that Rae held a one-on-one discussion with Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha.
Barry Ferguson, Peter Lovenkrands and John Brown have also undergone the same process for the assistant manager’s role at Ibrox, according to The Daily Record.
Right candidate?
Rae played for Rangers from 2004 to 2006, and has managerial experience with Dundee and St Mirren.
The 47-year-old former midfielder would be a good candidate for the Rangers assistant manager’s role.
Having played and also managed in Scotland, Rae would bring with him a wealth of experience that Caixinha could use.
Rangers are third in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 50 points from 29 matches.
The Gers will take on Motherwell at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership after the international break.
The Ibrox outfit should be aiming to finish second in the league table this season and look to push Old Firm rivals Celtic for the title during the 2017-18 campaign.
