Rangers will have Nnamdi Ofoborh in their squad at Ibrox next season and beyond, according to The Scottish Sun, with The Daily Record reporting that manager Steven Gerrard wants to secure the services of the midfielder now.

It has been reported by the two publicatons that Rangers have agreed a pre-contract with Ofoborh that will see him move to the Gers in the summer of 2021.

The Daily Record has claimed that Rangers have agreed a pre-contract agreement with Bournemouth defender Jack Simpson as well.

The report has added that Rangers could sign Ofoborh now instead of waiting until the end of the season, with Bournemouth looking for £300,000 as transfer fee for the youngster.

Do Rangers need Nnamdi Ofoborh now?

As reported by The Daily Record, Rangers manager Steven Gerrard wants to bring in Ofoborh to add more cover in midfield in the final months of the season.

Scott Arfield is also injured at the moment, so there is a place in the team for the 21-year-old midfielder.

The reported transfer fee of £300,000 is not a small amount, but if that helps Rangers win the Scottish Premiership title, then the Gers should pay it.
