According to The Scottish Sun, Rangers winger Kai Kennedy is set to sign a new deal to stay at Ibrox – and will then head straight out on loan to Raith Rovers.
Kennedy was unable to agree a new deal with Rangers over the summer, and it looked like the Gers were willing to let him go.
Sheffield United were thought to be keen on a deal, and Rangers then took the surprise decision to send him out on loan to Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
His displays there have convinced Rangers to give him a new contract, meaning he won’t be leaving Ibrox at the end of the season.
Kennedy has long been tipped for a bright future, and Steven Gerrard branded him ‘fabulous’ back in November 2019.
Rangers plan to pull him away from Inverness and send him on loan to Raith Rovers instead, who sit fourth in the Scottish Championship.

Kennedy, 18, will now hope to thrive with Raith Rovers, and justify Rangers’ imminent decision to hand him a new contract.
He has been linked with some huge clubs in recent times, and months after it seemed that Rangers would be losing Kennedy, he will now stay in Glasgow after all.
