Rangers have turned down yet another bid from Lille for Alfredo Morelos, according to The Daily Mail.

Lille made an offer of £16.25 million for the Colombia international striker, but Rangers have rejected it, according to the report.

It has been further added that the French club are now considering ending their pursuit of the 24-year-old striker, having had now four offers for him rejected by Rangers.

Sky Sports have reported that with Lille on the verge of signing Gent striker Jonathan David, a move from the Ligue 1 outfit for Morelos is now unlikely.

Ranger stay?

With Rangers having signed two new strikers this summer – Kemar Roofe and Cedric Itten – manager Steven Gerrard now has four players for the position, including Jermain Defoe.

This will give Gerrard a lot of options, and if Morelos stays this season, then one suspects that the Liverpool legend is not going to complain.

Rangers are aiming to stop bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic from winning the Scottish Premiership title for the 10th season in a row and have to have a strong squad.
