Pedro Caixinha’s Glasgow Rangers and Sunderland reportedly want Aston Villa’s Ross McCormack in the summer transfer window.

It has been reported that Rangers have asked about McCormack, who has yet to agree a loan deal with Sunderland.

The Scotland international striker has been on the books of Villa since the summer of 2016 when he joined from Fulham for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £12 million.
McCormack failed to make an impact at Villa and spent the second half of last season on loan at Nottingham Forest in the Championship.

The former Cardiff City and Leeds United striker started his professional club football career at Rangers, and at 29, he still has a fair few years at the top level left in him.
McCormack would be a great signing for Rangers, but one suspects that Pedro Caixinha’s side will be able to secure his services only on a loan deal.
