Glasgow Rangers forward Eduardo Herrera will return to Club Necaxa next season, according to The Scottish Sun.

Herrera had a loan spell at Mexican club Necaxa and will return to Liga MX for next season, having already started training with Guillermo Vazquez’s side, according to the report.

Disappointing Rangers spell

Rangers signed Herrera from Club Universidad Nacional in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Scottish Sun to be worth £1.5 million and when Pedro Caixinha was in charge of the Gers.

The 30-year-old forward has failed to make a massive impact at Rangers, and has scored just two goals in 24 games for the Ibrox club so far, according to The Scottish Sun.

The Mexican forward had had loan spells at Santos Laguna and Necaxa during his time at Rangers so far.

It does make sense for Herrera to return to Necaxa, as it is clear that Rangers manger Steven Gerrard does not fancy the forward, who will be better off playing in the Mexican league.
