Garner had to be replaced during the early stages of Glasgow Rangers’ Old Firm defeat last month.
A report in the Daily Record has suggested that Rangers are fearful that they may not have Joe Garner back playing for them by the time the winter break comes to an end towards the end of this month.
The 28-year-old had to be replaced just 15 minutes in to the Gers’ Old Firm clash with Celtic after landing awkwardly on his shoulder. The Record reports that he was taken to hospital after being stretchered off and the Light Blues now face a nervous wait to find out how long the striker will be sidelined for.

The Record adds that the Scottish Premiership side are currently concerned that he will not be ready to return to Mark Warburton’s line-up by the time that the side take to the pitch to face Motherwell in the Scottish Cup in just under three weeks.
Not having Garner back will be a big blow to Rangers’ chances of winning the race for second place in the top flight.

Though the former Preston North End man has not been prolific since his summer switch – he has scored just three times – he certainly brings a lot to the team and has become a fan favourite amongst the Ibrox faithful.
And Warburton will be desperately hoping that Garner takes little time to rediscover his recent form when he does return as his presence could be crucial to their hopes of finishing above Aberdeen and Hearts.
