Ibrox outfit Glasgow Rangers and Club America are reportedly interested in appointing Pedro Caixinha as their new manager.
According to The Daily Record, Rangers are interested in appointing Pedro Caixinha as their manager.
The Gers are on the lookout for a permanent manager following the departure of Mark Warburton last month due to a run of disappointing results.
Caixinha is in charge of Al-Gharafa at the moment, but it has been reported that the Portuguese manager wants to be the Rangers boss in time for their match against Celtic.
However, The Scottish Sun has claimed that Rangers are facing competition in their quest to secure the services of the 46-year-old.
It has been reported that Mexican club Club America are also interested in appointing the Portuguese as their manager.
The Scottish Sun has claimed that Club Mexico are waiting for Caixinha’s contract at Al-Gharafa to run out before appointing the manager.
It seems that Rangers would have to act quickly in order to get Caixinha. The Gers are aiming to find a permanent successor to Warburton rightaway, and that is one advantage they have over Club America.
Rangers are third in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 46 points from 27 matches.
