Rangers reportedly face competition from Middlesbrough in the race for Graham Dorrans.
Graham Dorrans of Norwich City celebrates scoring
According to the Daily Mail, Middlesbrough have expressed an interest in signing midfielder Graham Dorrans from Norwich City – a possible blow for Rangers.
Dorrans, 30, joined Norwich on loan from West Bromwich Albion in February 2015 and signed permanently that summer, after scoring three times in 18 games.

This term, the Scotland international – who has 12 caps for his country – played just half of Norwich’s Championship games, but did find the next six times whilst picking up one assist.
Now though, the Daily Mail report that Dorrans could be on his way out of Carrow Road following the appointment of new manager Daniel Farke, with Middlesbrough now joining the race.

It’s noted that Rangers – the club Dorrans grew up supporting – were expecting to sign the midfielder this week, but their £1million bid has so far come up short of Norwich’s valuation.
That delay in sealing the deal has allegedly allowed Middlesbrough in to express an interest in luring Dorrans to the Riverside Stadium, despite the fact that Boro don’t currently have a manager.

Aitor Karanka’s departure in March led to Steve Agnew taking charge until the end of the season, and Boro are now searching for a new boss – but they could still push for signings anyway, with Dorrans on their radar.
Sheffield Wednesday are also believed to be keen on Dorrans, meaning Rangers will have to move quickly to increase their bid if they are to give the midfielder his dream move to Ibrox.
