Rangers are reportedly looking to bring Dominic Solanke to Ibrox.

According to Goal, Liverpool only want to loan striker Dominic Solanke out in August, which may cause problems for Rangers’ pursuit.
The Reds swooped to land Solanke from Chelsea last summer, and he impressed in limited playing time this past season, recording a first England cap whilst also hitting his first Premier League goal with a strike against Brighton and Hove Albion on the final day of the season.

The 20-year-old is unlikely to challenge Roberto Firmino in Jurgen Klopp’s first team next season, and with Nabil Fekir of Lyon a top target for the Reds, Solanke may yet be loaned out.
Goal now report that Liverpool could farm Solanke out for next season, but would only be looking to do a deal in August as they want him to stay for pre-season training.
That could be a major blow for Rangers, who are looking to take Solanke on loan, as manager Steven Gerrard wants to have his signings on board early rather than waiting until the dying embers of the window.

Much will depend on the futures of Danny Ings, Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi, but it seems that Liverpool have no intention of letting Solanke leave the club until pre-season friendlies are over and done with.
Rangers may choose to wait for such a promising striker, but with Gerrard keen to deals done sooner rather than later, Liverpool’s plan may just leave the Gers looking elsewhere this summer.
