Glasgow Rangers defender Danny Wilson is reportedly tempted by the idea of making the move to Major League Soccer.

According to a report from the Daily Record, the chance to make the move to Major League Soccer is an option that is proving tempting for Rangers defender Danny Wilson.

The 26-year-old’s Ibrox future appears to be up in the air right now. Wilson has arguably been one of the Gers’ better performers since Graeme Murty stepped into the breach following Pedro Caixinha’s sacking, but there is still some doubt regarding where he will be playing his football in the near future.

The Record reports that he is out of contract at the end of the season and there has been some interest from MLS regarding a potential move for the former Hearts stalwart.

Interestingly, the Record adds that a potential move to America appears to appeal to Wilson, so perhaps it may not be out of the question to suggest that there may be a resolution to the situation regarding his future imminently.

Rangers could either let him leave, or the Scottish Premiership side could look to make sure that the defender’s head is not turned further by the reports linking him with a switch across the Atlantic by swiftly looking to agree a new deal. Or they could decide to avoid addressing the situation, which would surely prove detrimental to their season.

The Gers return to action on Wednesday night following the mid-season break as they host Aberdeen at Ibrox knowing that a victory over the Dons will see Murty’s men leap back into second place in the top flight.
