Italian outlet TuttoJuve claim that Rangers could sign Aaron Ramsey on a permanent free transfer in the summer. Ramsey has just joined the Gers on loan, until the end of the season – but his long-term future remains a doubt.

Ramsey, 31, has joined Rangers in a stunning move from Juventus on loan until the summer. Some reports claim a permanent clause has been included, but a new report from TuttoJuve suggests different.

Indeed, TJ carry reports from CalcioMercato claiming that Rangers requested a permanent deal was not included. However, the report states that a permanent move is still very on the cards, at the end of the loan.

They say that Juventus want Ramsey to leave and would be willing to let Rangers sign him for nothing in the summer – in order to get him off the wage bill. That is, despite having a contract until June 2023 at Juve.

It is believed that all parties have a chance of reaching such an agreement, with Ramsey seemingly willing to reduce his wages in order to strike a deal. It might actually see Rangers not only get Ramsey on loan, but permanently.

Ramsey could stay at Rangers: Next six months might be crucial

What happens in the next few months will surely determine whether Rangers can tempt Ramsey into staying. The issue is, is that if Ramsey sparkles for Rangers – other clubs could come calling and sign Ramsey.

But the thing that Rangers could do for Ramsey in the next six months, will be for the player to fall in love with the club. The history, the fans, the stadium, and qualifying for the Champions League will tempt Ramsey.
